Fiona Laryn - Osteopath D.O. MSc. (UK)
My journey into Osteopathic Medicine began with five years of full-time study at the International College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) in Milan, Italy where I obtained my D.O. Followed by Master of Science in Osteopathy at the University of Surrey in London. I see a wide range of patients in the clinic, ranging from infants to the elderly with everything from injuries and muscular-skeletal problems to more complex cases of ongoing chronic pain involving the nervous system and and internal organ disfunction. In line with my beliefs, I continue to collaborate and maintain strong relationships with my Osteopathic colleagues and other healthcare professionals in Italy in order to promote and share current knowledge and learning with the intention of obtaining the best possible result for each patient. Previously and to this day I work with athletes from various sports including rugby to soccer, wake boarding, snowboarding and skiing. When not in the studio you can find me teaching and enjoying snowboarding on the mountains or out on the lake paddle boarding.
2019/2020 Osteopaths New Zealand Executive Committee Member.
Bianca Coutts - Osteopath B.App.Sci., M.Ost.
I come from a family of health care practitioners so I think it was inevitable I would take a similar path. Osteopathy appealed to me because of the holistic, patient-centred approach that I saw. My training consisted of five years of fulltime study at Unitec in Auckland, coming out of this with a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Osteopathy.
In my clinical practice I see a large range of patients coming through the doors including athletes, school children, farmers and elderly. I have a strong interest in sports and performance with a personal background in soccer, tennis and showjumping. I enjoy helping people get back up and running following injury and working with them to ensure prevention in the future.
I am always working to further my skills through attending courses and collaboration with both osteopaths and other health care professionals and specialists.
Daisuke Hiratsuka - Acupuncturist & Massage Therapist
I am originally from Japan, which is where I obtained my degree in Acupuncture, Moxibustion and Anma Massage Acupressure graduating from Oniki Medical School in 2010. I worked for several years in Tokyo before moving with my family to Queenstown.
I am particularly interest in treating viral, bacterial and fungal infections for people with compromised immunity, menstrual and menopause symptoms, breech babies, sports injuries both acute and chronic and mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety.
When not working in the clinic I like to be with my wife and 2 daughters, cooking for friends or fishing on the lake.
